De Larrea visits the second shift of the Summer Camp at Tarihuela

The taronja summer is already underway with the second shifts of the Valencia Basket Camps and Schools. The participants of the Summer Camp held at the Tarihuela Nature Centre in Alto Palancia have received the visit of a U19 World Champion: Sergio De Larrea.

 

Already the reception to the Taronja youth player to the chant of "Larry", was a surprise for him: "The truth is that I did not expect so many fans. They are small at this age and it's still hard for them to see the players, they know the most famous ones, but I was surprised with everyone singing and the entrance was very cool".

 

De Larrea answered dozens of questions about the World Cup, his debut with the Valencia Basket professional team, his personal life and much more. Afterwards, the participants took a great souvenir taking pictures with him, as well as dedications and autographs on T-shirts and trainers. Not only that, the youngsters asked for a dunk and the player from Valladolid offered them a small exhibition.

 

The Taronja player confessed that he was "happy, because I was one of those who was sitting there and this is something that always made us very excited. Being the one who was talking to the kids, signing them, is an honor for me and I am very happy. They have to see that this is achievable and the questions they have asked me about work, combining it with their studies... these things are possible by working and it starts with these campuses".
