The Shooting Academy, the best shooting specific camp in L'Alqueria del Basket, with the collaboration of Europrobasket, already has a director. The prestigious shooting coach Dave Love will repeat as the one in charge of directing the camp, after receiving a great acceptance of his work by the participants in the last edition.

 

For the past 19 years, Dave Love has coached players of all levels to improve their shooting through a series of systematic drills and skill enhancement. His ability to develop shooters has taken him to the NBA where he continues to work with some of the best players in the best league in the world. Everyone who passes through his hands improves in shooting percentage by 20-30%.

 

Love is from Calgary, Canada. He got into coaching at the age of 25 and decided to specialize in shooting, something no one was doing at the time. He started The Love of the Game Shooting Clinics in his hometown and worked for the local college team. He made the jump to the NBA in 2009 with the Phoenix Suns until 2013, when he signed with the Cavs to help Tristan Thompson transition from a left-handed shooter to a right-handed shooter. Tristan set a personal record that season. The following year, he signed with the Orlando Magic to help Aaron Gordon, who improved his three-point shooting by 30% in his rookie season. Love then worked with Elfrid Payton, Dewayne Dedmon and Bismack Biyombo. All achieved a personal best.

 

He now works independently with players and agents, while running shooting clinics for youngsters all over the world, including this Shooting Academy in L'Alqueria del Basket. During his stay in Valencia last summer he took the opportunity to do individual work with players like Toko Shengelia.

 

The activity will take place between July 11 and 15 and is aimed at federated boys and girls born between 2004 and 2009, with limited places. At the camp the youngsters will have the opportunity to work on shooting with the best techniques under the guidance of one of the best specialists in the field of our sport. The main objective is to maximize the technical qualities of each player and achieve the individual expectations of each one. Therefore, it is a personalized camp adapted to the characteristics and virtues of each player.

 

Prices

The price per player in internal regime with full board at Mas Camarena Resort is 750€. The arrival date for participants in internal regime will be July 10th and the return date to their residences will be July 16th. The price per player in external regime is 380€, with lunch included in L'Alqueria del Basket. In addition, Valencia Basket players will have a special price of 325€ for half board and 640€ for full board. All participants will receive two t-shirts and official shorts of the campus.

 

For those interested in participating in both the Shooting Academy and the Skills Camp will enjoy a special price. The cost of both camps for internal players is 1400€ and 680€ for external players. Valencia Basket players will enjoy a special price of 585€.

 

Method of payment

Payment can be made through the web payment gateway, in cash at the reception of L'Alqueria del Basket or by bank deposit.
