Valencia Basket and the University of Worcester cross paths again with the launch of the 7th edition of the Worcester Camp. This international campus will again take place at the facilities that the University of Worcester has in the United Kingdom. In this sixth experience, the duration of the campus that focuses on the practice of basketball in the English language will be 7 days and its price will be 1,350 euros. This price includes direct flights from Valencia, accommodation and full board, a reversible luggage, a short sleeve t-shirt and a Valencia Basket sweatshirt, excursion and transfers in the UK. This price will be respected until March 31, after which date it will be increased. Places are limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. The reservation fee is 550€ per participant.

 

From August 18 to 25, 2024

The Camp will be held from August 18 to 25, 2024, for young people between 11 and 18 years old at the facilities of the University of Worcester (UK). A unique experience that will revolve around the practice of basketball in English, internationalizing the more than 30 years of experience of Valencia Basket in the organization of Camp.

 

The Worcester-Valencia Basket International Camp will also count with the participation of young people from England and other nationalities, which will provide a unique experience for all participants.

 

Intensive daily Basketball&English program

The daily program of activities runs from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and will focus on the practice of basketball in English language, in areas such as fundamentals, routines, individual work and competition without forgetting the fun.

 

The youngsters will be grouped based on age and level criteria, in order to facilitate competitiveness, which will be positive for the experience of the Worcester Camp and Valencia Basket, and in a social environment in English language.

 

Equipped by Valencia Basket

All the youngsters will be equipped with the official Valencia Basket clothing, which will include an official reversible training kit (t-shirt and shorts), a short sleeve t-shirt and a sweatshirt.

 

Technical quality

Two of the top basketball clubs in the UK and Spain have joined forces to develop a unique summer experience for young people. The technical team of the campus will be composed of members of the coaching staff and players of the Worcester Wolves Senior team and the sports coordination of Valencia Basket coaches.

 

Excellent basketball facilities

The University of Worcester Arena, where the training sessions will take place, is an iconic 2,000-spectator pavilion with three basketball courts, with all possible facilities for on-court learning and excellent locker rooms. The pavilion was the base training venue for the British men's and women's national team ahead of Eurobasket 2015. It is also home to the British men's and women's wheelchair teams, as well as being the venue for the 2015 European Wheelchair Championships. It also has two additional basketball courts with fitness equipment at the University's St John's Sport Center.

 

Perfect surroundings and accommodation

The University of Worcester's accommodation is set within a large campus offering large, secure landscaped grounds. Each floor of the residence consists of 6 spacious rooms, with comfortable and convenient common areas. The camp is located close to the city center and has areas perfect for sightseeing and shopping (supervised).

 

The city of Worcester is a beautiful 12th century town with its own cathedral. Its location allows easy access to the cities of Birmingham, Warwick, Stratford-Xpon-Avon, Cardiff and London. It is situated on the River Severn, in a rural county surrounded by beautiful scenery and views including the Malvern Hills.

 

Cultural Activities

Camp participants will have the opportunity to take part in one cultural activity to be confirmed, on an organized excursion, as well as the Lakeside Campus, with outdoor multi-adventure activities, as part of the English cultural immersion program.

 

1,350 euros per person

The price of the Campus experience in Worcester, with accommodation and full board, Valencia Basket official equipment, excursion, flights from Valencia and transfers in the United Kingdom, is 1,350 euros per person. About the Worcester Wolves

Established in 2000, Worcester Wolves is one of the most respected basketball clubs in the British Basketball League. The club has earned a national reputation for excellence on and off the court. The Wolves play at the iconic University of Worcester Arena, and have consistently finished in the top 4 teams in the country.
