The men's and women's teams of Valencia Basket put the finishing touch to their season by finishing the Spanish Championship in Huelva in fourth and fifth position, respectively. An edition in which both teams had first year players and have been able to live a great experience to continue growing and improving.

 

Valencia Basket A men finished first in the group stage, beating EASO Gipuzkoa Basket, EBA and Aranguren Mutilbasket. In the round of 16, Guillem Gonzalez's team faced a combative Fuenlabrada, which they beat 71-72. In the quarterfinals, the team played a great game to beat Barça (76-83) but, in the semifinals, they were unable to overcome an immense Real Madrid (62-104). The taronja team finished the tournament with a close defeat against Casademont Zaragoza (91-78) and being the fourth best team in Spain.

 

Valencia Basket A women closed the complicated group stage in second place, with wins against BT 'A' and Celta Zorka and defeat against Barça CBS. In the eighth round they faced CB Almeria with a big win (90-57). In the quarterfinals they crossed paths with the eventual champion, Spar Gran Canaria, with a 56-51 defeat. In the game for the fifth place Laura Lago's players beat Basket Almeda 54-50, thus finishing as the fifth best team in the country.
