The training sessions for coaches of the L'Alqueria del Basket Basketball Chair continue during the month of April. This session, organized together with the University of Valencia and the support of Caixabank, will feature Javier Torralba.

 

Next Thursday, April 15 at 20:00h, the Spanish coach will illustrate the coaches present in a clinic that can be followed both in person at L'Alqueria del Basket -if the health situation allows it- and online, one of the novelties of this year's program. It can be watched live and recorded. Those coaches who want to validate the hours with the FBCV and FEB courses must watch it live online or in person.

 

Javier Torralba will share with the registered coaches his knowledge on the subject: "Building the collective game from the idea of Early offense Molecules". That is, adapting different tactical details to team play.

 

Javier started his career in CBF Sarrià, where he was from 2009 to 2012 and where he won the Spanish Championship and the Copa Catalunya coaching the women's U14 team and was runner-up of Catalonia with the women's U18 team. In addition, he was recognized as the best coach of the Spanish Championship for women’s U14. Later he was in Basket Almeda, team in which he coached the women’s U16 and with which he won the runner-up of Spain and lifted the Women's Catalonia Cup. Then in 2017 he made the leap to Segle XXI, where he led for two seasons the women's U16 that won a Spanish Championship. From 2018 to the present he is responsible for the Segle XXI program, one of the best "factories" of female players in all of Spain.

 

The participation in the talk, counts this year as a novelty with the certification of the University of Valencia. On the other hand, it continues to have the support of the Basketball Federation of the Valencian Community and the activity will be valid to compute their hours as practices of the coaching courses of the FBCV and FEB.
