Valencia Basket organizes on June 29th and 30th and July 1st the third edition of the 3x3 tournament: "L'Alqueria del Basket Open 3x3". A male and female tournament, scoring for the FIBA ranking, which brings together the biggest stars of this modality in the taronja facilities, and is open to all players who wish to participate. The tournament, which has continued to grow until last edition reached 54 participating teams, will again distribute important prizes from the hand of Red Bull.

Registration details

The registration fee will vary depending on the tournament phase played. In the case of teams playing in the tournament on the 29th, the registration fee for the team tournament will be 60 euros. In the case of the final phase of the tournament on the 30th and 1st, the registration fee per team is 80 euros. Teams participating in this second phase after winning a place in the preliminary competition will only have to pay 20 euros.

 

The tournament entry fee includes:.

-        The playing of, at least, three matches.

-        Gamer hospitality zone.

-        Water, fruit and nutrition for athletes.

-        Sports accident insurance..

-        Merchandising courtesy of sponsors.

 

Financial awards

Thanks to the collaboration with Red Bull, the tournament will have important prizes for both men and women. The winners of the Open will be awarded 1,500 euros, the finalists will receive 1,000 euros, and each of the semifinalists will receive 250 euros each..

 

Scorable for FIBA

València will host a high competitive level, with the direct presence of important teams of the 3x3 circuit fighting for the points at stake for the FIBA ranking. The final table will be played between the afternoon of Friday 30 and during Saturday 1.

 

In the men's competition, the final phase will have 16 teams, 8 of them will qualify directly by their FIBA points, 4 will access with wildcard and 4 will come out of the preliminary phase that will be played on the 29th. In the women's competition, the finals will initially have 8 teams.

 

A first phase in open format

On Thursday, June 29, the tournament will play a preliminary round among all participants not directly qualified. This initial tournament will determine the four men's places and the women's places if the registration exceeds the 8 available places.

 

Basic rules of 3x3 basketball

Teams will consist of four players and will compete under the official FIBA 3x3 rules that were seen in action at the Tokyo Olympics. Games will last 10 minutes or 21 points, with an overtime to the first to score two points in case of a tie;
