Physiotherapy and Physical Preparation, protagonists in the 2nd transversal seminar

The training at the European basketball house by the Basketball Chair of L’Alqueria del Basket, goes far beyond the court. The conferences organized together with the University of Valencia, reach all the areas that surround our sport, and this December there will be a second high-level appointment that will be a clear example of this: the second seminar in transversal areas, with physical preparation and physiotherapy as protagonists.

Next Saturday, December 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., two experts in these matters will share their knowledge, in what will be an experience that, at the same time, will serve to learn much more about the working model of a Club of the European Valencia Basket experience. The objective is to offer resources and strategies in the fields in question, always applied to training sport. The central theme is “Break of the internal lateral knee ligament of a basketball player. From the stretcher to the court”.

Pablo Martínez will be in charge of opening the day. "Anatomy and ultrasound assessment of the LLI" will be the subject discussed in his first presentation. The person in charge of the physiotherapy of the Valencia Basket men's team, who is also a doctor from the University of Murcia in this matter and has a master's degree in invasive physiotherapy and psychoneuroimmunology, will repeat after the first break of the day to talk about the “Initial recovery phases of LLI”.

After the second break, Julio Galcerán, readapter of the Valencia Basket men's team and coordinator of the area in L'Alqueria, who has been international with the Spanish U18 team and has a master's degree in high performance in team sports from the University of Barcelona, will close the day with his presentation on "Strength work and introduction to the court."

Participation in the talk is certified by the University of Valencia through the L’Alqueria del Basket Basketball Chair.
