U16 women's team travels to Greece to combat violence against women

The U16 women's team embarks on a trip beyond our borders to play a tournament. But it is not just any tournament. The City Council of Ilioupolis, Athens, organizes an international U18 tournament from March 4 to 6, with the support of the European Economic Community, to combat violence against women. Valencia Basket will not miss this event.

 

The tournament will combine sporting-competitive and social action. In the sports section, there will be the participation of four Greek U18 teams: GS Ilioupolis, Panathinaikos AO, Panthers Kavala and GS Esperides Kallithea, joined by the taronja U16 women’s team coached by Manolo Real.

 

On the other hand, at the presentation of the event, which will be held on Saturday, March 3 at 10:30 am at the Ilioupoli City Hall, a conference on violence against women will be held in the context of the "Speak up, you are not alone" campaign. Here will intervene, among others, the former player Evanthia Maltsi, historical top scorer of the Greek Women's National Team, who wore the Ros Casares València jersey.
