Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with Palmer Basket for guard Alex Blanco (1.90m, Mahón, March 14, 2007, age 19) to play on loan with the Mallorcan team during the upcoming 2026-27 season. The Balearic point guard is under contract with Valencia Basket through the 2027-28 season, and this upcoming season he will have the opportunity to continue growing and developing as a player in a competition as demanding as Primera FEB.

 

Last season, Alex Blanco played in the U22 League with Valencia Basket. In 27 games, he averaged 14 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 10 efficiency points per game while averaging more than 25 minutes on the court per game.

 

About Alex Blanco

Alex Blanco joined Valencia Basket in 2024. He had previously trained first at CB La Salle Mahón and then at the Balearic Islands Technical Training Center (CTEIB). He also had the opportunity to play games in the LEB Plata with Fibwi Palma. In his first year with the “Taronja” at age 17, he played for the men’s U18 A team. After that first season, he was called up to the Spanish national team, with which he won gold at the U18 Men’s EuroBasket, averaging 9 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and an efficiency rating of 8.3 per game. In his second season with the club, the Balearic player competed in the U22 League, serving as a key player for the Taronja reserve team and averaging 14 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 10 efficiency points per game. This summer, he was once again called up to the Spanish national team, this time for the U20 Men’s EuroBasket, where he helped the team win the bronze medal.
