Valencia Basket continues to promote the “Training with Referents” program, an initiative that combines basketball, education, and inclusion to promote a culture of endeavor on and off the court through the Personal Development Area at L'Alqueria del Basket. In this second season, the project continues to grow with new experiences and training activities in which the club's U14 and U16 teams will share learning and values with athletes and organizations that are leaders in integration through sport, with the aim of promoting comprehensive training.

The second part of this edition once again brings together 12 teams from the Taronja academy who participate in different sessions with the aim of getting to know, living with, and training alongside people with functional diversity or athletes from adapted sports.

Among the scheduled activities are boccia sessions led by David Soler; goalball experiences coordinated by Celia Mestre and David Casinos; and wheelchair basketball activities. There will also be training sessions with people with intellectual disabilities in collaboration with the Aderes Association and the Levante UD Foundation, as well as a visit to the La Costera-Canals Occupational Center (Aspromivise Association), which promotes coexistence and active participation among different groups.

The project also includes a training session with David Casinos, focusing on overcoming adversity, effort, and attitude in the face of adversity, during the Mini Spanish Cup. 

For their part, the U16 teams will learn about new disciplines such as colpball with David Soler, while the U14 teams will enjoy soccer sessions with people with intellectual disabilities through the Levante UD Foundation. The season will culminate with La Carrera Popular d'Aspromivise, an inclusive race in Xàtiva, where the players will accompany people with functional diversity along the route.

With this set of activities, Valencia Basket reaffirms its commitment to education in values, social inclusion, and the comprehensive training of its players, consolidating “Training with Referents” as a pioneering initiative that projects the positive impact of sport beyond the result.
