La Cordà de Paterna finalizes its roster and staff for the 2025–2026 season

La Cordà de Paterna faces the start of a new season in the LF Challenge after three years in which the team has fought at the top of the table, qualifying twice for the Final Four to move up to the LF Endesa. A new season in which the Valencia Basket affiliate, which has already finalized its roster and staff, will face new challenges.


After four years, the LF Challenge team coach, Glòria Estopà, is joining the staff of Valencia Basket's women's team. For this reason, La Cordà de Paterna has found its new coach in Jagoba Pérez, who has been assistant coach of the men's team affiliated with Valencia Basket, L'Horta Godella, for the last two seasons. He has a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and Primary Education from the University and holds a Higher Degree in Basketball Coaching. In addition, he has previous experience as coach of the Biscay youth team and also coaching various training teams in the Basque Country.


Alongside Jagoba, Javier Trujillo will make his debut as assistant coach, having already been part of the club coaching the La Cordà de Paterna Senior Women's 1st Division team. Nacho Palmero will be in charge of the players' physical training for the third consecutive year. In the medical department, Blanca Mur joins from L'Alqueria del Basket in her role as physiotherapist. Finally, former Nou Bàsquet Paterna player Mario Pinazo will continue as team manager for the second consecutive season.


Jagoba will continue to nurture the club's young talent, which is so important to the growth of the professional team, with players such as Elena Buenavida, Noa Morro, Awa Fam, Alicia Flórez, and Irene Broncano. The latter will continue to alternate between the women's first team and the affiliated team, as will Paula Saravia and Marina Bleda. Alongside them, Valencia Basket players Piath Gabriel and Aminata Traore, on loan at La Cordà de Paterna, will bring something new to the squad.


For their part, Clara Ché and Virginia Sáez will continue to bring their experience to the affiliated team, which will also benefit from the services of Lorena Segura, who grew at Valencia Basket and made her debut with the first team, inscribing her name on the Mur dels Somnis. Clara Sancho and Frida Cecchi also grown at L'Alqueria del Basket. Mabel Galiana and Anna Prim will complete the squad as senior players, with the latter finishing her recovery from the injury that kept her off the court last season. Carmen Segura, Yasmín Tortajada, and Mery Villar will provide support from La Cordà de Paterna's Senior Women's 1st Division team. Finally, junior players Marta Llompart, Mª del Mar Ordinas, Gabriela Lerma, and Sandra Dávila from the Taronja youth academy complete the roster.
