Valencia Basket wins silver in the Spanish U12 Women's Championship after a tough final against Barça CBS. In a game in which the Catalan team took the lead, the Taronja's attempts to close the gap were not enough to secure victory (79-66). L'Alqueria del Basket thus ends a brilliant season with this Spanish U12 runner-up title and leaves its record to date with five Spanish Championships, with three won by the girls' U16 team (20-21, 21-22, and 24-25), one recently won by the girls' U14 team (24-25), and one won by the boys' U12 team (22-23). The boys' U12 A team finished in fifth place.

 

The girls' U12 A team began the group stage with victories over San Cernín Azul A (10-60), Movistar Estudiantes (48-89), and Barça CBS (97-63), finishing as leaders of their group. In the round of 16, they faced Novasmile Lucentum Alicante with a victory (72-22), followed by a victory in the quarterfinals against Picken Claret (43-70). In the semifinals, Valencia Basket once again played a great game and gave Movistar Estudiantes no chance (48-86).

 

In the final, the Taronjas faced Barça CBS once again. After a fairly even first quarter, the Catalans took advantage of Valencia Basket's lack of accuracy to go into the break with a 13-point lead. The Valencian team tried to close the gap in the fourth quarter, but Barça CBS was more inspired and regained the lead, which it maintained until the end of the game, winning the Spanish Championship.

 

For their part, the boys' U12 A team began their journey with a victory against Sese A (77-97). They then lost to EMB Candelaria (79-73) and closed the group stage with a 79-29 victory against Ciusaba Basquet Pla. In the round of 16, the Taronja team beat Basket Santa Cruz (92-73) but was unable to overcome Joventut Badalona (72-92) in the quarterfinals. In the game for 5th place, Valencia Basket ended its participation on a high note with a victory over Fundal Alcobendas A (92-78).
