Bellver: "I've been in Valencia Basket my whole life and it's a dream come true"

Valencian outside player Alejandro Bellver will be the eighth player to inscribe his name in the Mur del Somnis since L'Alqueria del Basket was founded in September 2017. Reliving the moment of his debut, Bellver said that "it's a mixture of sensations. You're a little nervous when you enter, I also had to think about what concerns the team as plays or if you enter to defend, but at the same time you think about the personal, everything you've suffered and what you've worked hard to get there. In the end it's all about enjoying the moment".

 

Although he confessed that he was nervous, the truth is that the Valencian had a dream debut. With less than two minutes on the court, Bellver debuted with a triple with the first ball he received: "I was ready from the start of the play to receive and shoot. I knew that if I got the ball I was going to shoot it. In fact, I got the ball and before looking at the basket I started to shoot and when I looked at the backboard I was seeing it very bad, but I had decided that I was going to shoot it. It went in. I couldn't have had a better feeling at that moment".

 

Bellver's life is not understood without Valencia Basket, and is that the player joined the taronja club as a baby and has grown up with the Culture of Endeavour: "I've spent my whole life in Valencia Basket and for me this is a prize and a dream come true. Since I was as young as possible I have always thought about hopefully being able to be there and enjoy what the acb is. You can see that with effort you can achieve it".

 

The last to enter the Mur dels Somnis, apart from Claudia Contell and Paula García, were Millán Jiménez and Guillem Ferrando. Both teammates of Bellver for several years in previous categories and, right now, in the LEB Plata. The Valencian said that "when they got it was like a reality check.
