A 5th place in the Minicopa LF Endesa for "the group to be more united"

Valencia Basket's women's U14 A team concluded its participation in the Minicopa LF Endesa just a few days ago with a 5th place achieved with a lot of work and that has served to unite better as a team to, in this way, play better in order to face the objectives that are on the horizon. Coach Marta Sorlí, who combined her work directing the women's U14 A team with her position as assistant coach of the women's first team in the Copa de la Reina, and player Claudia Gitrama speak on behalf of the team about this great experience lived in Huelva.


Claudia expressed after those days full of emotions that "it is a unique experience that you can only live once in a lifetime. Both on a personal and team level it has given us all a lot, we have been able to get to know each other better, compete with great teams in Spain such as Barça, Estudiantes, Canarias... It has also given us to know our mistakes that we have had in the games to be able to train them now more in order to face the Spanish Championship and the Final Four. I think it has been very good to be able to share with the first team players, we had a talk with Alba Torrens, Laia Palau and Queralt Casas."


Sorlí, who was living her first Minicopa on the bench, said about her particular experience that it has been "very enriching. I've been pretty crazy because I had to go from one place to another, moving from pavilion to pavilion, doing one thing with the girls and another with the professional ones, but I've enjoyed it a lot. I have tried to give my best and I think people have given it too. When you give as much as you get, regardless of all the things you have to do, you enjoy the experience. I think we have managed to make the group more united, to play better together, to understand each other better in order to move forward on the road that still has a long way to go."


The coach not only left Huelva with the good taste of winning 5th place, but also with the Copa de la Reina trophy under her arm: "It was incredible. They say that third time's the charm. It was the third one in which we participated since I've been in the team. We've enjoyed it a lot, and we value it even more, after all the effort behind it. Winning a title is something that we all like and that we have to appreciate, but we have to put it in perspective because there are many things ahead of us".
