3rd year of L´Alqueria del Basket (2019 - 2020)

The third year was the demonstration that basketball didn't stop despite adversity. A year in which the facility and its team demonstrated their ability to reinvent themselves, innovate and seek new formulas to continue growing and expanding their vision.

  • More than 1,150 videoconferences and telematic trainings
  • More than 40 training activities and 8 open days for coaches
  • 65 management meetings and several youth teams talks with the players of the women and mens' teams
  • 25 videos of advices open to fans of the facilities professionals
  • We hosted the Exceptional Final Phase of the Liga Endesa, which passed smoothly thanks to an Advanced Medical Center that protected the health of the participants

L'Alqueria LAB, a bet on co-innovation

  • New department led by Pedro Cotolí with the aim of promoting the sports and human talent of our young people through Basket
  • Based on R+D+I+CO (Research + Development + Innovation + Collaborative)
  • Agreement with the University of Valencia to create the first National Chair dedicated to basketbal
  • 5 webinars with more than 3000 views and a face-to-face physical training session with more than 125 participants

Activity is kept

  • The hours of occupation were kept, with 14,232 hours of work thanks to the effort made by our players and Club coaches
  • 9,164 training sessions and 948 games only with the 578 players who made up the 51 Youth teams, with up to 72 coaches working on their evolution

The Alqueria del Basket signature doesn't stop growing

  • Up to 25 players, 6 more than last season, in addition to two coaches and a physical trainer, protagonists with the Spanish National Team
  • The U14 girls team won the title in Salamanca, winning in the final of the LF Endesa Mini Cup in Girona
  • The Endesa Mini Cup Qualifiers meant a new classification for the U14 boys team, who finished the main competition in fourth position
  • In the Adidas Next Generation of the Euroleague, the U18 boys team stroked a new final and beat Barça in the fight for third place
  • Guillem Ferrando registered his name in Mur dels Somnis (Wall of Dreams), culminating with his Euroleague debut his 6-year training at the youth teams

An international training of coaches

  • Initially, the collaboration of the Valencian Community Basketball Federation and Bankia was again supported and more than 1000 coaches attended to 7 face-to-face clinics
  • The impossibility of continuing with the face-to-face activity was transformed into an opportunity to grow in scope with the Club coaches sharing their work in online sessions, accumulating 20,685 views in 8 meetings, reaching more than 20 countries
  • The Training for Coaches WhatsApp exceeded 600 registered
  • Sportcoach organized the Level 4 Procoach Coaches Training Course, with 87 participants enjoying the knowledge of the best speakers such as Dimitrios Itoudis, Igor Kokoskov or Jaume Ponsarnau

1,200 participants in Basket tournaments

  • The Valencia Basket Cup was consolidated to add 800 participants
  • The Endesa Mini Cup Qualifiers, increasingly consolidated
  • The Adidas Next Generation returned to focus on Valencia all the gazes of journalists and scouts with the participation of the best U18 players on the continent

The facility continues to arouse expectation

  • The program "Tu Cole en L'Alqueria" (Your School at L'Alqueria) grew before March to reach 1,927 children, stroking in much less time, the figures of the previous year
  • 429 children participating in the Christmas and Summer Schools, Shooting Academy, Skills Camp and Summer Workout
  • 574 sports personalities and people from various related groups who visited the facility such as José Manuel Calderón, Rick Pitino, Bill Pope or Sean Marks
  • 110 players who participated in the 3 days of detection organized by the Club and the 430 participants in 5 days of U7 kids activity
  • In total, 3,470 people visited the facility

2,734 participants in sporting and business events related to Basket

  • Sothis, Urban Kids or Mr. Jeff opted for the facility as the venue for their events
  • The presentation of the Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Half Marathon, the Scoutim Showcase last summer, the Nike Camp or the Junior NBA Camp are some of the other activities hosted

Growth also in social networks

  • L'Alqueria's social networks grew by almost 4000 followers, with more than 21,200 followers in total, compared to 17,500 last season
  • During the season L'Alqueria generated more than 400 press releases related to the events hosted

Sports patronage of Juan Roig

  • In 2019, he invested a total of 27 million euros. 11 of them went to the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation to promote fifty projects and the other 16 million euros went to Valencia Basket
  • The Master Plan together with the numerous methods and initiatives regarding the organization and selection of activities and events allowed the establishment of the activity and the consolidation of the Alqueria del Basket signature despite the difficulties of a third year that maximized the Culture of Endeavour
