La Cordà de Paterna qualifies for the third consecutive year to the playoffs of the LF Challenge. The team coached by Gloria Estopà finished the regular league in 9th position, with a record of 15-15 giving access to the first round in search of the Final Four, which they already played twice. A new meritorious season of Valencia Basket's linked team that, despite not always having all its players when they are with the first team, is always competing and growing.

 

In the format of the silver category of women's basketball, the Innova-tsn Leganés as leader got the direct ticket to the LF Endesa. Now the playoffs for that second place are settled between 2nd and 9th. That is why La Cordà de Paterna (9th) will have to face CAB Estepona Jardín del Sol (2nd) in a round-robin format. This means that the first game will be in Paterna and the second in Estepona. The winner of this tie will go to the Final Four.

 

This quarter-final will start on Saturday, May 3 at 17:30 at the Paterna Municipal Pavilion and will be decided on Saturday, May 10 at 18:00h at the Pineda Pavilion in Estepona. The games can be followed live on canalfeb.tv.

 

La Cordà de Paterna is characterized by having a block with a few players with experience as Clara Che, Virginia Sáez or Lorena Segura, with young players who alternate with the women's first team as Alicia Flórez, Irene Broncano or Mojca Jelenc and youth players.
