Valencia Basket has opted this season to go a step further in the work done by its Personal Development Area in L'Alqueria del Basket. The area, led by sports psychologist and coach Paco Pardo, is concerned with helping the members of L'Alqueria in their training on and off the court, in order to properly combine studies and training, and above all to help them in any complex situation they may face in their daily lives.

 

The objective that derives from all this is that the players of the Club's training categories develop in a comprehensive way, with the values that come from the sport as a hallmark. Along these lines, the club has launched a new initiative this season. It is a social project that seeks to complement sports training with experiences and learning that promote the personal growth of athletes, both on and off the court.

 

This season, the players of the Taronja youth teams will learn first-hand about different examples of overcoming challenges that will help them connect with people and stories that are a reference of daily effort and how hard work helps to achieve goals in different disciplines, sports and everyday situations.

 

Wheelchair basketball, boccia or goalball trainings are some of the activities they will experience throughout the project, putting themselves in the shoes of their athletes and sharing with them their experience on the court, learning to value the effort they make and the importance of perseverance and daily work.

 

One more step in an Alqueria del Basket that maintains the constant commitment to training, hallmark of identity since its inauguration in 2017.
