From April 2 to 5, the city of Valencia will host the fifth edition of the international youth basketball tournament organized by R&O Eventos, in collaboration with L’Alqueria del Basket, which has established itself as one of the premier events on the national youth basketball calendar. This year’s tournament will feature more than 112 teams from nine countries—Finland, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, England, Belgium, the United States, Portugal, and Spain—with national representation from multiple autonomous communities.


In total, more than 2,400 people, including players, coaches, and companions, will take part in this sporting event that combines competition, training, and sports tourism. The opening ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 2, at 7:00 p.m. at the Fuente de San Luis, marking the start of three days during which more than 240 games will be played in both men’s and women’s categories, ranging from the youngest age group to the U18 level. The games will be held at the L’Alqueria del Basket facilities, considered an international benchmark in the development of youth basketball.


Beyond the sporting arena, the tournament will also have a significant impact on the city, with an estimated 8,400 overnight stays. Participants will also enjoy a complementary program of activities, including visits to the City of Arts and Sciences, Bioparc, and the historic center of Valencia. The competition will culminate on Sunday, April 5, with the finals in all categories and the subsequent trophy presentation.
