Valencia Basket players Isabel Hernández, Amelia Alonso, Sandra Dávila, Anastasia Lishchuk, and Claudia Lostal were crowned U16F European Champions in a tremendous Eurobasket tournament in which they played with great seriousness and superiority. Spain defeated Slovenia in the grand final (62-47), adding five gold medals for the Taronja players to Álex Blanco's gold at the U18M Eurobasket, Piath Gabriel's bronze at the Afrobasket Women, Gloria Estopà's gold as assistant coach at the U20W Eurobasket, the bronze medals won by Rubén Burgos and Marta Sorlí as coach and assistant coach at the U19W World Cup, and the four silver medals won by Raquel Carrera, María Araujo, Awa Fam, and Elena Buenavida at the EuroBasket Women with the Spanish national team.
